At the 2012 Decanter World Wine Awards, held at the Royal Opera House, Roberson were once again named London's best wine merchant.

Here's what Decanter had to say:

'While the gilded highlights of Roberson's list are one compelling aspect of its operation, the judges agreed that it deserved the 2012 title for a plethora of reasons. The young, enthusiastic band of wine nuts behind the counter are genuinely happy to engage with their customers ... via some of the UK's best - and best value - tasting events ... the world's top winemakers host informal tastings and the shop's own staff put together horizontals of 1961 Bordeaux just for the hell of it ... But it is the last 12 months of activity that cemented the title: a refit of the fine wine area coincided with a new policy of offering all wines over £100 at trade prices - to everyone - meaning significant reductions on more than 500 lines. The buying is not confined to French classics by any means: a new focus on California saw several boutique wineries imported into the UK for the first time, while natural wines from around the world became an area of specialism.'
