SAVIGNY-LèS-BEAUNE PREMIER CRU 'AUX SERPENTIèRES' 2012
DOMAINE PIERRE GUILLEMOT
(150CL MAGNUM)

Pierre Guillemot’s wines are well-known and sought after in France and America, yet they remain relatively unheard of here in the UK. The benefit of that is that you can get these delicious wines at great prices.

  • Well-structured with lots of concentrated red fruit and herbal notes; beautifully intense on the palate.
  • The vines are planted in marl and are on average 55 years old.
  • Wine is fermented in wood and then aged in barrel for 18 months.
  • This will develop and become more complex 5 to 10 years after the vintage.
  • Fantastic when paired with chicken mushroom sauce.
