Towards the Paullic side of St Julian, the Borie family have run this noble estate pretty impeccably, staying true to the elegant style that has won them so many fans.

Named after the ‘beautiful stones’ the vineyards sits on, the wine is made in a conventional style, with variation to suit the vintage. Not a big wine, it needs some time to develop the balance and complexity for which it’s famous. Key vintages here include 1961, 1982, 1985,1995,1996 and 2000. The second wine La Croix de Beaucaillou is worth a try.
