PRODUCER NOTES
In the late 50's, the LVMH group's subsidiary, Moet & Chandon Champagne, sensed the fantastic potential of South America and sent Renaud Poirier, one of its top oenologists, to asses the many different areas. He made a stop in the Argentine province of Mendonza, which Renaud believed was the best area to plant his vineyards, and became the future base of the group's top subsidiary outside France. The Malbec vines came from France to the virgin soil, having escaped from phylloxera, these are healthy vines, and fertilisers are unheard of, herbicides are not used either.
