Marc Perrin and his team have continued to push the envelope for this venerable old estate. Untilising all 15 permitted varieties, the wines of Beaucastel are classic, long-lived and complex, capable of shutting down for periods before opening up to reveal whole new dimensions. The range here encompasses everything from the Coudoulet wines (made just outside the appellation boundary and offering unbelievable value for money) to the rare Veilles Vignes Blanc and Hommage a Jacque Perrin, a most unusual Mouvedre-dominated super-cuvee.
