La Tour Blanche doesn’t seem to be that well known – which is quite inexplicable when you consider that it was the first estate on which Sauternes was made, was placed second after Yquem in the 1855 classification, and still consistently produces one of the best wines. This is classic Sauternes – sweet, refreshing and long-lived.
