TASTING NOTES

This Gewurztraminer is from the Grand Cru Steinert vineyard, which gives an exceptionally fine wine. All the typical lychee character of the variety is here present with good fresh acidity balancing a touch of sweetness. A delicious wine and a bargain price for a Grand Cru.

PRODUCER NOTES

Domaine Rieflé is a relatively new entity (having been set up in 1966) but winemaking in the Rieflé family goes back a lot further than that, to the early eighteenth century. The wines are classic Alsace – expressive of their grape varieties, full of flavour, well-structured, (mostly) dry and stunningly good value. From the lowliest Pinot Blanc to the Grand Cru Riesling, these are undervalued and delicious.
