According to Stephen Brook, Cantenac-Brown boasts one of the most bizarre of Bordeaux Châteaux "because it looks…more like a Scottish boarding school, or perhaps a Belgian town hall." In the past the wines have been criticised for being somewhat inconsistent, but recently much has been done to shake that image, with improvements in quality all round. At its best, Cantenac-Brown is classic Margaux - refined, elegant and harmonious.
