PRODUCER NOTES
The existence of the noble house of La Bégorce since 1332 is mentioned by the famous wine author Edouard Féret in 1868, in which he introduces it as one of the most beautiful and best places in the village of Margaux.
Today, its manager Luc Thienpont has achieved recognition among the greatest wine connoisseurs for making wines of exceptional quality. Quality that led to the “promotion” of Château Labégorce-Zédé to first rank during classification of the Cru Bourgeois in 2003.
Predominantly made of Cabernet Sauvignon, it is usually aged for 15 months in casks.
