LA CHAPELLE DE LAFON-ROCHET 2007, CHâTEAU LAFON-ROCHET

PRODUCER NOTES

A single block of vineyard sloping south towards the back of Château Lafite on the south bank of St-Estèphe.
It was rebuilt in the 1960’s by the Cognac Merchant Guy Tesseron. One of his sons Alfred Tesseron manages Château Pont Canet and his other son Michael Tesseron is in charge of Château Lafon-Rochet . Michael has vastly invested into making exceptional wine, greatly improving the property. He makes full bodied, lush, powerful wine, which is worth keeping for smoothness. Over recent vintages, it has shown a steady progression in quality.
The wine is meticulously crafted and viticulture and vinification take place with great respect for the environment and nature.
