TASTING NOTES

La Dame de Montrose is the second wine of Château Montrose and is lighter and frutier in style and far more approachable than the Grand Vin.

PRODUCER NOTES

Montrose is a legendary and unique wine with a distinctive style which is tannic, hard in its youth, full-bodied and requiring long ageing. Even when fully mature this power and structure are its most noticeable feature, and even in lesser vintages this characteristic is obvious, giving it a great ability to age. For this reason it is often called the Latour of St-Estèphe. After a slightly disappointing period between 1978 and 1985 Montrose is back on top form and playing to its strengths once again.
