PRODUCER NOTES
Château Angélus is a great property and a Premier Grand Cru Classé (B) of St-Emilion. After a slump in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Angélus is back on top form under the dynamic direction of Hubert de Boüard. The wine is often quite tough and austere in its youth, requiring long ageing to achieve its full potential. When it reaches those heights, which these days is regularly, it is among the top wines of the right bank.
