PRODUCER NOTES
Canon-La-Gaffelière has always been a fine property with the potential to make great wine, but it is generally agreed that for some time it was underperforming, making good, but not remarkable wine. That all changed when the dapper Stephan von Neipperg took over in 1985. He set about turning the fortunes of the Château around, and has been magnificently successful by any measure. The wines are now consistently of the highest quality, balanced, elegant, fresh but capable of maturing very well over time.
