PRODUCER NOTES

The first traces of the vineyards of Chateau de Bellevue Laplagnotte appear in the second edition of "cocks" completely redrafted in 1868 by Edward Feret. At that date the vineyard produced between six and ten tons. It is conceivable that the vineyard existed well before that date.
In the decades following the property was gradually enlarged. By 1954 the last enlargement, carried through by the relatives of the previous owners, increased the actual surface of the vineyard was from 6 to ten hectares.
Since March 3, 1990, Chateau Laplagnotte Bellevue has been owned by Henry and Claude de Labarre, who have continued to devote themselves to it with great passion.
