TASTING NOTES

Henri Boillot's Bourgogne Chardonnay is a great example of what white Burgundy from a top producer is all about. The wine is dry, medium-bodied, with a lovely frresh fruit flavour balanced by firm acidity.

PRODUCER NOTES

Henri Boillot runs what used to be Domaine Jean Boillot (Jean was his father) from their impressive cellars in Volnay, but he also has a separate negocient business called Maison Henri Boillot. He is in the process of combining both into one domaine. The domaine was kept intact when after a long and protracted process, Henri bought out the shares of his sister Jeannine and brother Jean-Marc. The estate features a wide range of excellent 1er cru vineyard plots from the best villages of the Côte-de-Beaune and when combined with the prestigious cuvées produced through the negocient arm of the business, Henri Boillot is one of the most exciting producers in Burgundy today.
