PRODUCER NOTES
One of Burgundy’s legendary names and the foremost producer in the village of Nuits-St-Georges, Domaine Henri Gouges was a pioneer of estate bottling in the 1920s and was instrumental in the formation of Burgundy’s AOC classification, introduced in the 1930s.
Today it is the grandsons of Henri, Pierre and Christian, who are in charge of this 15 hectare domaine which is based entirely in Nuits, and includes plots in seven of its best 1er cru vineyards.
