LES CALADES VIN DE PAYS DE VAUCLUSE 2011, CLOS SAINT-JEAN

DESCRIPTION
Les Calades is made from a small parcel of vines that lie just outside the Châteauneuf-du-Pape boundary and so cannot be included in the blends for the Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The fruit from these vines is therefore fermented separately and given a Vin de Pays appelation, but it is clearly a product of the same rigorous attention to detail and an absolute bargain at this price. A blend of Grenache and Caladoc, it has a beautiful black cherry, blackberry aroma and flavour and fine tannins that give it a satisfying texture and make its quality very apparent. A real 'mini' Châteauneuf-du-Pape from a great producer, drinking now and over the next two to three years.
Roberson have once again secured the U.K. allocation of this fantastic wine. Last year we sold out within a few hours, and we expect this allocation to go just as quickly.
