"My pick of the month is the Cheverny, Clos de Tue Boeuf: an equal blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Chardonnay and vinified with minimal intervention from organic grapes. It has the hallmark tastes of natural wine, with a slightly oxidised, bone-dry character, and yet a beautiful dried fruit core. PRODUCER NOTES

Since the Middle Ages, there have been records about the lieu-dit “le Tue-Boeuf” and its excellent wines which were enjoyed by the local nobility and the kings of France. The family name Puzelatz is mentioned in 15th century documents. Still a family owned winery, some cuvées are so small that there is never enough to go around.
