TASTING NOTES
"I can't get over how delicious this wine is. It's crisp, fresh, so simple and juicy I could drink it by the bottle. Imagine a big table full of charcuterie and cheese with all your friends around it, that's the wine you'd want to go with it. Coming from the Jura, one of the most exciting regions in France but still very much under the radar, Uva is made from 100% Ploussard by carbonic maceration. Full of clean and zippy wild red berries with just a touch of black pepper lurking in the background, the palate is light, fresh and vibrant. It gets better with air so don't hesitate to decant it and that's definitely the sort of wine you could have slightly chilled so don't hesitate to stick it in the fridge for half an hour beforehand. Sante!" - Jean-Remi Barris, assistant shop manager.
PRODUCER NOTES
Evelyne and Pascal Clairet created their vineyard in 1991. They work 6 hectares of vines, from which they produce 12 cuvées. They make traditional wines in the traditions of Arbois, such as the Terre de Gryphées, & also explore new paths, such as the carbonic maceration in the Uva Arbosiana cuvée. Their methodology & passion is clearly invested in producing wines that represent the tradition & potential this dynamic AOC possesses.
