TASTING NOTES

The second wine of Château Phélan-Ségur is made with equal parts of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc and the same attention to detail that goes into the Grand Vin. A Roberson favourite and consistently good value.

PRODUCER NOTES

The Gardiniers who purchased the property in the 1980’s have kept Phelan Segur at the upper echelons of the St-Estephe hierarchy. Not a wine to impress American palates, this is a quintessentially ‘European’ style of claret. Not too big, oaky, concentrated, just everything in the right place. The second wine, Frank Phélan, is especially good value.
