MONTEPULCIANO D'ABRUZZO 2010, GRAN SASSO

TASTING NOTES

This wine is deep black-red in colour with a youthful dark purple rim. It is ripe and spicy on the nose, with perfumes of red berries and chocolate with a rich, supple tannin structure and rounded ripe blackberry fruit character.

PRODUCER NOTES

Valentino Sciotti is involved with a number of wineries in Puglia, Campania (he is the man behind Vesevo) and his native Abruzzi. The Gran Sasso wines are made by young winemaker Marco Flacco and display a freshness and directness of fruit that is seldom found in this region.
