PRODUCER NOTES
Andrea Franchetti is a visionary. Mr. Franchetti worked as a wine distributor in New York City in the 1980's and made many friends in the industry, chief among them were Jean-Luc Thunevin of Chateau Valandraud and Peter Sisseck of Domino de Pingus. He used these contacts and their expertise to set up Tenute de Trinoro in Col D'Orcia in the late 1990's and Passopisciaro on the Mount Etna in Sicily in 2000. After several massive scores from Parker and the Gambero Rosso, his reputation as one of the most exciting new winemakers was secured. The style of wines is one that combines power with remarkable elegance and longevity.
