TASTING NOTES
This white is a slightly unusual blend of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Viognier. The Chardonnay supplies the backbone and structure while the Viognier gives it a delicious element of lightness and elegance.
PRODUCER NOTES
A range of new-wave French wines, combining regional character with New World accessibility. From a country renowned for its winemaking tradition, Le Grand Noir wines offer non-traditional blends from traditional French varietals. The wine is made by winemaker Hugh Ryman, label designer Kevin Shaw and wine writer Robert Joseph. They produce wines of genuine quality and flavour.
The white is a blend of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Viognier from the Languedoc-Roussillon – an unusual blend that adds a note of Viognier spice. The red is a modern New World style blend of 60% Grenache, 35% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre.
