TASTING NOTES

The white Mas de Daumas Gassac is on a similar plane to its more famous red sibling. It is wonderful when young, fresh and full of delicate floral flavours, but with some bottle age the wine develops into a very complex white with many levels of complexity.

PRODUCER NOTES

Despite the charismatic owner, Aime Guiberts, protesting on Mondovino that ‘Vin est Mort’ it is clearly continuing to prosper in this spectacular micro-climate in the Languedoc. Created from nothing in the early 1970’s, with consultant oenologist Emile Peynaud, this patch of soil is uniquely suited to producing densely flavoured wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier and Chardonnay that age extremely well.
