TASTING NOTES

Yet another great wine from Dönnhoff. Kabinett is the lightest, driest style of traditional riesling, although still not 'dry'. This is fruity, with excellent acidity maintaining a real refreshing quality.

PRODUCER NOTES

Dönnhoff is one of Germany’s greatest names – the finest exponent of winemaking in the Nahe region. His dedication to quality and skill in the vineyard and cellar are second-to-none, and the current undervaluing of German wine makes all of his wine an astonishing bargain. As Hugh Johnson puts it: “Virtually every barrel . . . is bottled separately; resulting in a confusingly wide range. However, such is the consistency and sheer quality that this hardly matters.” So there you have it, take your pick – you really can’t go wrong.
