Prieuré-Lichine is a bit of an oddity in that it had no existence before the 1950s, when Alexis Lichine purchased various plots scattered all around Margaux and somehow managed to cobble them together into a single wine with a clear sense of terroir. After suffering a bit of a bad patch, the wine is now back on song, with the ubiquitous Michel Rolland advising.
