Climens is more often than not Barsac’s best wine, and in the whole of Sauternes is probably second only to Yquem. The extraordinarily low yields and the focus on quality throughout the whole winemaking process give a wine of great sweetness and richness balanced by an elegant touch typical of Barsac. The greatest vintages are among some of the finest sweet wines found anywhere in the world, and have the capacity to keep and improve over decades.
