Bonneau du Martray is the foremost estate of Pernand-Vergelesses and the domaine that is most associated with the Grand Cru of Corton-Charlemagne. Their land holding in this superb vineyard can be traced all the way back to the estate of the Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne, after whom it was named.
In addition to this they produce a red Corton Grand Cru and these two wines are the extent of their offering – making them the only domaine in Burgundy that offers only Grand Cru wine.
