The oldest son of this winery founder, Giacomo Conterno was the determined upholder of Barolo's most ancient tradiitons.After his death in 2004, his place was taken by his son Roberto.
The estate is particularly noted for its magnificent Barolo Monfortino, chosen from the best vintages and aged eight years in casks. All his wines are powerful and bold, among the finest expressions in the region of ultra traditional style.
