WINES FROM KISTLER
Steve Kistler and his assistant Mark Bixler run this top-quality Sonom-based winery that has redefined excellence in the Chardonnay grape. Buying in grapes from some of the finest sources in the county, the wines are vinified in small lots (a typical production is around 2,000 cases) and are powerful yet nuanced, similar in style to a ripe Corton-Charlemagne. High scores from Parker have cemented the wines reputation and they are now increasingly hard to find.
