TASTING NOTES
"At first I thought it was a bit young, but after half an hour in the decanter it all came out. Pronounced cherry and red fruit notes with hints of tar, tobacco, violet and rose on the finish. A very textured wine with racy acidity and low tannin. Delish!" - Paul Hannagen, wine advisor.
"Mas Coutelou, 7 Rue de la Pompe 2010 Vin de Table is a Languedoc Syrah that just soars out of the glass with its freshness and purity. It's bone dry and tastes super-healthy, finishing bone dry after a great mouthful of fruit - quite a contrast to more souped-up, industrial products. It is just 12.5% alcohol and has had no added sulphur but tasted quite stable to me in the admittedly cool cellars below Roberson's store on Kensington High Street."

PRODUCER NOTES
We can't remember ever being as excited at a set of wines as we are with the Mas Coutelou range. All of these wines are made in a natural style, with minimal use of chemicals both in the vineyard and the winery. This philosophy extends to using virtually no sulphur (a very rare and difficult exercise) in order to preserve absolutely the purity and elegance of the old vine fruit. These delicious wines are some of the greatest bargains ever to grace our shelves.
