TASTING NOTES

This wine completes Achaval-Ferrer's exploration of Malbec. Having shown through their other wines that Malbec can be a very terroir-driven wine and that it can be a key building-block of a complex blend this Mendoza Malbec expresse the pure taste of the variety itself. Dark, delicious and complex stuff.

PRODUCER NOTES

Situated at the foot of the Andes in the Mendoza region, Achaval-Ferrer is and Argentine Italian partnership created in 1998. When everyone else was busy producing red wines of monstrous proportions, they worked hard on trying to express Mendoza's magnificent variety of terroir and revolutionised Argentina's wine industry. Roberto Cipresso, regarded as one of the world's most gifted viticulturist and winemaker, is producing wines of great power and finesse.
