Château Batailley is a classic Pauillac with vineyards located in some of the prime sites of the district. A perennial favourite with the world’s most experienced taster of fine and rare Bordeaux, Michael Broadbent, he praises its dependability and approachable style. Over the years we have always found it to be generally relatively early-maturing and well-priced. In short, a great example of what Bordeaux is supposed to be – food-friendly, delicious and with a character which is unmistakably Claret.
