TASTING NOTES

Pont de Gassac rouge from Mas de Daumas Gassac has a lot of the qualities of the estate's legendary top wine at a lower price point. This is primarily a dark, fruity wine but with plenty of underlying structure.

PRODUCER NOTES

Despite the charismatic owner, Aime Guiberts, protesting on Mondovino that ‘Vin est Mort’ it is clearly continuing to prosper in this spectacular micro-climate in the Languedoc. Created from nothing in the early 1970’s, with consultant oenologist Emile Peynaud, this patch of soil is uniquely suited to producing densely flavoured wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier and Chardonnay that age extremely well.
