A blend of Grenache, Syrah and old vine Carignan (50/20/30), ‘La Dame’ was heralded as the best bargain in France by Tom Stevenson in his 2009 Wine Report.

Rich and smooth with vibrant dark fruit, ‘La Dame’ is packed full of the classic meat and herb notes that gives great Languedoc wines their inimitable character. A brilliant, exciting organic wine from Lidewij van Wilgin.

  • A great food wine

Deep purple-ruby. A developing nose of medium (+) intensity, with opening aromas of dark berry fruit and spice, then separating to black cherry, blackberry, a savoury note, and a floral note like musky red rose.

A dry wine with smooth medium tannins, a medium (+) body, a medium (+) intensity, with an opening flavour of blackcurrant, then black cherry-like boiled sweets, and herbal nuances. The finish is long and clean. Needs decanting for an hour, a food wine.
