PRODUCER NOTES

Giacomo Bologna pioneered a new style of Barbera, determined to elevate it to the same level as the traditionally more highly regarded grape of the region – Nebbiolo. These are unashamedly modern wines, with plenty of oak and great concentration. They are a far-cry from the rustic table wine that used to be Barbera’s role in the Piedmont wine hierarchy and show what great potential this grape has in the right hands.
