PRODUCER NOTES
One of the great old stone-built wineries of Napa, with coolie-cut tunnels into the hills as its original cellars. Under the Beringers it declined, was bought in 1969 by Nestle, which fixed it on an upward course. 'Quality is remarkably consistent at all levels', said Hugh Johnson.
