TASTING NOTES

The blend for Pleiades varies year on year, but commonly includes Sangiovese, Mourvedre, Viognier, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and much else besides. The resulting wine is incredibly complex with a truly unique and delicious flavour and a smooth mouthfeel.

PRODUCER NOTES

Rennaissance man of many antiquarian talents, Sean Thackery crafts his wines in an entirely idiosyncratic, didactic fashion. From old vineyards, the grapes are carried back to his garage in his 1960’s truck where he makes some of most inspired Rhone based wines anywhere in the world. His Orion, Sirius and Plaides have an avid cult following. His only problem is maintaining vineyard consistency as once he makes a vineyard famous the owners often look to sell their grapes elsewhere to a richer buyer.
