PRODUCER NOTES

Cantina Terlano is one of the best examples of a co-operative winery in the world. This is largely due to its focus on quality – many co-operatives encourage their members to produce as much fruit as possible for the greatest return, but Cantina Terlano goes the other way, imposing strict criteria for quality purposes and keeping yields down. The entire range is classy and distinctively Italian. The Winkl Sauvignon is beautifully crafted – halfway between the dry austerity of the Loire valley and the over-the-top intensity of Marlborough, while the other wines, especially the Pinot Bianco and the Terlaner are richer with a creamy texture.
