TASTING NOTES

An exellent and very typical Chilean Sauvignon Blanc from Vina Mar, this manages to strike a delicate balance between the sometimes overpowering flavour of a New Zealand Sauvignon and the austerity found in the French versions. Delicious, fruity, well-balanced and satisftying.

PRODUCER NOTES

Viña Mar is a boutique Chilean winery in the cool Casablanca Valley, 80 kilometers west of Santiago and 18 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean. They are adept at making cool climate styles and encouraging delicate, elegant, yet complex flavours from the wines.

The winery’s name, Viña Mar, pays homage to their biggest virtue, the sea. The vineyards are planted in the upper sector of the Casablanca valley, allowing continuous exposure to the sun as well as cool breezes from the Pacific coast, letting the grapes ripen slowly and evenly.

Modern and traditional winemaking methods are used to ensure that each variety reflects the characteristics of the valley, as well as the specific vineyard.
