The Antinori family are responsible for some of Tuscany’s most prodigious and prestigious wines, and Lodovico Antinori was the man who established Ornellaia - a winery that has gone on to become an Italian legend. From Lodovico’s first vintage in 1985, through a tumultuous takeover by California’s Mondavi family, and now under the ownership of the Frescobaldi family, Tenuta dell’ Ornellaia has continued to produce world class wines of the highest order - with Masseto notching up 100 point scores and Ornellaia being voted ‘#1 Wine in the World’ by Wine Spectator along the way.
