ROBERSON WINE SCHOOL: NATURAL WINES
Please note this event has already happened
Date: 7pm, Thursday 17th March 2011
Price: £20.00
Forget organic or biodynamic – natural wines are the latest trend to sweep the wine world while saving the planet. But are they any good? Is this just a fad or is it true that some of the purest examples of varieties and terroir can be produced by using traditional methods in the vineyard and the winery, with almost zero sulphur added during the process?
This tasting will look at 12 of the best examples from across France and Italy (with a Spanish wine thrown in for good measure), and it promises to be one of the most fascinating tastings we have ever done. This could be an event that puts you off natural wines completely or changes your life and drinking habits forever - either way it is bound to be interesting.
