WHY DOES ROBERSON WINE NEED TO COLLECT AND STORE PERSONAL DATA?

In order for us to enable you to purchase wine and receive deliveries we need to collect personal data for correspondence and service provision. In any event, we are committed to ensuring that the information we collect and use is appropriate for this purpose, and does not constitute an invasion of your privacy.

  • If you contact us or sign up to our email newsletter, we will collect your name and email address, which will be stored in our third-party campaign management system and by our third-party delivery providers.
  • By placing an order for delivery or collection over the telephone or our website, we will also collect your name, address, email and telephone number - these are used only for transactional purposes.   • If you browse our website, we will collect your IP address and information about the pages you have accessed. Our websites use cookies, which are small pieces of information sent by an organisation to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow that website to recognise you when you visit. It is possible to disable this function in your browser.
  • We do not store any credit card details on our website for online purchases. These are managed by a third-party provider (see below).
  • We do retain transactional information for payments made directly to Roberson Wine, in accordance with current legislation.
  • We have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect. Any personal information is kept private and securely stored until a time it is no longer needed, or until you request that we remove it from our records. However, we will continue to hold indefinitely any transactional information, including contact details, on our database, as we are required to do so by law, although contact details can be changed on request at any time via the methods described above.

In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Any personal information is kept securely on our database and can be removed at any time at your request. We will hold transactional information, as we are required to so by law, although contact details can be amended any time.

CONTACTING YOU:

If you make a purchase via phone, email or the website we will record your name, address and delivery details and we may contact you from time to time to process orders and make delivery arrangements. Additionally, if you subscribe to our email newsletter, we will contact you by email with offers and news from Roberson Wine. Newsletters sent from our email service provider may record subscriber data relating to engagement.

CONTROLLING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.
  • You can ask for personal data to be removed or corrected, if it is inaccurate or complete.
  • Whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not want the information to be used by us to send you marketing emails.
  • If you have previously agreed to us sending you marketing emails you may change your mind at any time by emailing us at hello@robersonwine.com or clicking the unsubscribe link in any email you have received.

INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES:

We will not sell, distribute or release your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so.

However, we may pass your personal data on to third-party service providers contracted to Roberson Wine in the course of dealing with you. Any third parties that we may share your data with are obliged to keep your details securely, and to use them only to fulfil the payment transaction and/or delivery of wine to you. When they no longer need your data to fulfil this service, they will dispose of the details in line with our procedures. If we wish to pass your sensitive personal data onto a third party we will only do so once we have obtained your consent, unless we are legally required to do otherwise.
