London Cru, the UK’s first urban winery, launches LDN SPRITZ - a Can of Spritzed white wine from england
The latest creation from the award-winning London Cru winery, LDN SPRITZ, has just landed and is available direct from the Roberson Wine website. Born out of a desire for a high quality spritz drink but without the fuss, the team at London Cru has delivered yet again with a fantastic new product.
Hassle-Free Spritz
Director Talya Roberson says: “We got fed up taking a bottle, a corkscrew, soda water and a couple of glasses out with us every time we went on a picnic. So, we got to work in our Earl’s Court winery to make a high quality, truly vinous product in a can.”
What’s in the Can?
LDN SPRITZ is made with only natural grape ingredients and is a field blend of English grape varietals. The result is spritzed wine with a lively crisp finish of green apples, pear and lemon zest. Sold in cans as a single serving at 250ml, makes the drink extremely practical for a beach barbeque or a park picnic, but if glasses are at hand enjoy it over ice! What’s more, it is vegan friendly, locally sourced and free from any artificial flavourings.
A Wine Lovers' Spritz
Tired of the low quality spritz currently marketed, and inspired by fond memories of Fröccs (Hungarian white wine spritz) London Cru's Winemaker Alex wanted to create a Spritz ‘genuinely reflective of the wine it was made from… not adding flavours or colours, but really keeping things pure. The grape the whole grape and nothing but the grape’. But don’t just take his word for it, other serious wine drinkers agree:
"It’s gently sparkly, dry, crisp and thoroughly refreshing. In fact, it’s a very far cry from the rest of the populist syrup on the market. In the context of a fizzy drink, it’s really rather good.” Demetri Walters, MW.
