Established in 1974, the Javillier family only began selling their own estate bottled wines in 1990. Over this period the vineyard holdings grew from 3 hectares to the present 11, with most of the production being white.
Few winemakers in the village of Meursault are more respected, or their wines…
A taut and mineral Bourgogne Blanc, displaying ripe green fruit and a subtle toasty note. One of two cuvées produced by the master of Meursault, Patrick Javillier.
Patrick Javillier is the acknowledged master of Meursault, producing superbly rich, textured, yet also finely mineral wines, from a variety of sites around the village. Despite the wines' exceptional status, they remain reasonably priced compared to many of equivalent (or lesser) quality.
