Located 10 kilometres from the Gironde estuary in the Northern Médoc, Château Patache d’Aux has a rich winemaking heritage that dates back to the mid-17th century. The 2015 vintage has a plush, bright fruit character, with notes of blackcurrant and spiced black plum, and a powerful richness on the palate encased by structured tannins and a long, expressive finish.
Acquired in 1975 by the Miailhe family, whose winemaking history dates back to the mid 19th Century, Verdignan's impressive Chateau stands out in the landscape of the Médoc surrounded by over 40 hectares of estate vineyard. Much like in the neighbouring St-Estèphe, the village of Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne benefits greatly from the influence of the Gironde Estuary. This wine is a fantastic example of the 2005 vintage, considered to be one of Bordeaux's finest years.

A 75cl bottle of Château Calon-Ségur, Saint-Estèphe 2015 by Château Calon-Ségur. A red wine from St-Estèphe in the Bordeaux region of France. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
A dense and deep colour, the wine has an intense and complex, slightly saline nose which reveals notes of blackcurrant and very ripe fruit with airing. From a powerful attack on highly refined, velvet tannins, the smooth and dense mid-palate offers attractive and expressive flavours, leading into a long and elegant finish. An incredibly precise wine, it sets a benchmark for Château Montrose.
