François Merlin captures the essence of the Northern Rhône, reminiscent of a high-quality Crozes-Hermitage but without the price tag. Bursting with earthy blue fruits, smokey undertones, and a medley of herbs and florals, this Syrah thrives in a landscape defined by granite, schist, and decomposed gneiss soils. As an IGP Collines Rhodaniennes wine, it's sourced from the left bank of the Rhône, facing renowned AOCs like Condrieu and Côte Rôtie.
Natacha’s Crozes-Hermitage is dense and concentrated. But even with this concentration of fruit, she manages to maintain a beautiful balance. Lovely to drink now and will develop and improve with a bit of ageing. This is a textbook example of Northern Rhone Syrah.

François Merlin, a trailblazing winemaker in the Northern Rhône, has crafted a St-Joseph Syrah that balances elegance and energy, evident from its peppered, floral nose to its vibrant fruit. Cultivated in sandy soils at an altitude tempering the Rhône's heat, the wine boasts depth and minerality. Garnering a 94/100 from Decanter and 18/20 from Jancis Robinson, it pairs divinely with chocolate, meats, and cheeses and promises to age gracefully until 2032.

François Merlin's 94 PT-rated Côte-Rôtie is a standout. Vines, aged between 20 to 60 years, thrive in thin topsoil on steep slopes, imbuing a unique complexity and character. It bursts with black cherry aromas and finishes with black olive notes. Paired best with steak, it promises elegance until 2045.
