Viñestral Crianza is a fruit-driven, fresh Rioja. It is a Roberson staple which for years has offered great value.
Now run by the 3rd generation of family winemakers Bodegas Las Orcas had made a high quality Rioja at a great value price. Made mostly with Tempranillo and a touch of Graciano, this Crianza has spent 14 months in French oak barrels. Dark purple in the glass with concentrated aromas of red fruits nuanced with hints of balsamic and liquorice. Full bodied and elegant with silky tannins it has a long well balanced finish.

Olarra's 2011 Otonal Gran Reserva combines velvety-smooth, full-flavoured Rioja character with incredible value for money. The 2011 vintage was the highest scoring Rioja at the 2020 International Wine Challenge, with 94 points.
A lighter style Rioja with no oak ageing. ripe plums and orange blossom, the tannins are fine and there is a long fruit driven finish. The lack of oak means that the grape dominates the wine with a purity of fruit. Lanzaga is the second vineyard site of established Spanish winemakers Remelluri. The site cooler in temperature than most of Rioja and the rest is a fresher, light and more lively Rioja furthered by the distinct lack of oak ageing.

Jet black in the glass, this wine is brimming with flavours of wild plum and mountain herbs with a velvety finish. 97 Points Best in Show at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2020. Mencía is a great food wine (or better yet, while you're cooking) but can also age well after a few years.
