Two years in the making, London Cru's winemaker Alex has just released his first sparkling wine. Having worked with Gusbourne, one of the UK’s most prestigious sparkling producers, making quality English sparkling was a huge priority for Alex. Made in the same traditional sparkling method of Champagne this wine was made from 100% Pinot Meunier grown in a single vineyard in the North Downs.
Newly released the Limney Estate Sparkling is made from the classic Champagne trio of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Meunier. 5 years aged on its lees has helped create a textured wine with brioche and pastry characteristics that combines with fresh natural acidity.
Created by the late, celebrated industry legend Steven Spurrier, Bride Valley Vineyards were first established in West Dorset in 2009. The Chalk soils found here are similar to those found in Champagne making it an ideal site for sparkling wine production. A blend of 2015 & 2016 vintages the Crémant has a much less aggressive fizz and so slides gently onto the palate. Delicate flavours of white fleshed fruits and summer flowers make this wine a perfect Aperitif.
A Sparkling White wine created from estate grown Pinot Noir grapes, this Traditional Method Blanc de Noirs exemplifies English finesse and balance. Burnished gold and with a delicate mousse, this wine has a luxurious, vanilla cream and fine pastry nose, with flavours of fresh Alpine strawberry, toasted brioche and a smooth elegant finish.
