Gravel Castle is a Chardonnay produced from Burgundian clones - ideal for still wine production - grown in the chalk soils of Simpsons Wine Estate's Roman Road and Railway Hill Vineyards.
The signature dry white wine from winemaker Will Davenport. The Horsmonden dry white is a blend of varieties including Bacchus, Ortega, Faber, Siegerrebe and Huxelrebe that blend together to make a complex, fragrant and balanced dry white wine. A small portion of oak ageing complements the fruit forward wine adding some creamy texture and body.
A versatile white, exceptionally delicate with gorgeous mellow acidity, and light, fruity aromatics. Ripe conference pear on the nose, citrus lime and green apple on the palate. Interesting and unique, a real showstopper.
A Fresh, fruit driven and unoaked Chardonnay. Pale lemon in colour, with delicate citrus blossom on the nose. The palate is smooth and textured, with notes of refreshing honeysuckle, white peach, and subtle apricot, finished with a natural high acidity.
The Roman Road vineyard is situated on the sunny, sheltered slopes of the North Downs of Kent, the 'Garden of England'. Exuding a true sense of place, Simpson's Estate 'Roman Road' Chardonnay is elegant and pure, with a distinctive mineral quality that you would expect from fruit grown on such iconic chalk soils.
